Zero to 6 Months

I honestly cannot believe we are saying goodbye to to six months and entering into month seven. I’m not sure why seven months sounds so old to me but it does. I have to say every month I kept thinking “this is my favorite” but month 6 was pretty amazing! Kinsley had so many milestones. Rolling around, trying to push herself to crawl, sitting up on her own, saying da-da, eating and loving her first foods and sleeping in her own room. – Side note – I know many sleep in their own room much sooner but we just selfishly weren’t ready and I cried the first night she wasn’t in our room, haha, but she was a champ.

I have had lots of moms ask me what our schedule looks like & how I got her to sleep so well since she’s been sleeping through the night since we brought her home. So, I thought I would share what worked for us. Also, keep in mind that every baby is different but I do think there is always wondrous results when you choose to stick to a routine.

From the time we brought kinsley home from the hospital I tried to establish a routine, especially for bedtime and we still follow it day by day. Naps and feeding of course have changed over time but since about 4 months this is what we’ve been doing minus the food- we started that at 6 months.

7:00 wake up

7:15 bottle & breakfast & play

9:00 – 11:00 nap

11:00 bottle & play

{window for any errands}

12:30 lunch

1:00 – 2:00 small nap if needed

2:00 bottle & play play play

4:00 – 6:00 nap

6:00 bottle & dinner & play

8:00 bath time

8:30 night night

Every night I give her a bath and we do our bedtime routine in her room (lotion, jammies, brush hair, etc.) then we have a bottle and go to sleep. If you play in their room and establish a routine in their room they will feel comfortable and relaxed in there when it comes to bedtime.
